I think like 1985ish... I remember that thinking, I want to see people the way you do... and how I see everything, I want to see it through my fathers' eyes. Then when people see me, they will tell me I have my father's eyes... resemblance. Action born out of that resemblance. This truth makes us search our hearts to 'make our calling and election sure'. Also I believe we settle for small, puny fruit instead of watering it with the word and fertilizing it with the good nutrients that we receive through fellowship and worship. I believe that if we have the seed of the Father in us, it will germinate a desire for these things. But true growth comes from understanding that we must remain in Him and He will remain in us (John 15), and grow the desires that we then can respond to. It's kinda perpetual in nature. Desire...obedience...hunger, thirst....deeper desire...quicker obedience...deeper hunger, stronger thirst....you get the idea. I love you so much. And I love your abilities and your desire above all else to serve others and share Christ with anyone who will listen. You are an amazing man of God...A man after God's own heart.
